A naphthenic refrigeration oil with a low pour point

PETRONAS Frigor M4 is a naphthenic compressor oil for refrigeration systems. It is intended for HCFC and CFC refrigerants (R12, R22 and R502), ammonia (R717) and hydrocarbons such as R290 and R600a. It serves commercial as well as industrial installations.

The refined naphthenic base oil has a low pour point and very little wax, so it stays fluid at low temperatures and avoids problems in the cold parts of the circuit. At the same time it stays stable when hot, which limits deposits and sludge and extends the life of the oil and the system.

• Hermetic, semi-hermetic and open compressors
• Household and commercial refrigeration
• Systems running on ammonia, HC, HCFC or CFC

Choosing the right oil

Match the oil to the refrigerant and the compressor maker's requirement before topping up or changing. Do not mix refrigeration oils of different types, and drain and refill when changing the oil type.
