Kroon-Oil Classic Gear EP 90 is a medium EP, mineral SAE 90 gear oil for classic manual gearboxes and other transmissions.

It belongs to the Classic Oils line and is offered in a 1 L tin and a 60 L drum.

Choosing the right oil

SAE 90 is the heavier choice within this range and suits gearboxes whose manual asks for a straight 90 weight oil at GL-4 level. Its pour point is -15 °C, so it is better suited to gearboxes used in mild or warm weather than to a car that is started in deep winter cold; if that is your situation, look at the thinner EP 80 sibling.

Do not use a GL-4 oil in an axle that is specified for hypoid GL-5 gear oil. If the transmission in question is a differential, check the manual and compare with the MP 90 or LS 90 products in the same range.

The 60 L drum suits clubs, restorers and workshops that service several cars.
