Choosing the right oil
Use this after an engine rebuild, when the piston rings need to bed in against freshly honed cylinder walls. Millers Oils describes a running-in period of about 500 miles, with the engine loaded at maximum torque during that time to help the rings bed in; follow your engine builder's own running-in procedure above any general guide.
Once the running-in is complete, drain the oil and refill with the classic engine oil recommended for your engine. The Millers Classic Pistoneeze and Classic Sport oils are examples of what to move to.
One warning from Millers Oils is worth repeating: fully synthetic and semi-synthetic oils should not be used before running-in is finished, because they can cause glazing of the cylinder bore.
It can be used on the road, on an engine test bed or on a rolling road.
