Choosing the right oil
This is the right product for a car, bike or engine that will sit for months, for example over winter or during a restoration. Fill the engine with it as part of your lay-up routine and the vapour-phase inhibitors protect the working surfaces while the car is stored.
Millers Oils allows limited running: up to 2,000 quiet road miles during the running-in period, and it can be run in gearboxes that call for engine oil. In hypoid final drives it is suitable only for storage, not for service use.
Before taking a stored engine back into regular use, change to the engine oil that suits it. A preservation oil is not a replacement for the correct everyday grade, and an oil change is a good moment to check the filter and the sump.
