Choosing the right oil
The product is for hypoid differentials that call for an extreme-pressure oil at GL-5 level. 85W-140 is a heavy grade: it is chosen when the manual or axle maker names it, for example for worn, high-torque axles where a thin oil would leak or shear. It is not a general-purpose gearbox oil.
If your manual names 80W-90 or SAE 90 for the differential, choose the matching product from the shop instead: the Millers Classic Differential Oil EP 90 GL5 covers the lighter grade. And if the unit is a limited-slip differential, check whether a friction-modified or specific limited-slip oil is required before filling.
The oil is not meant for gearboxes that specify GL-4 oil.
