ISO VG 46 hydraulic oil for wide temperature swings

DCO VHLP HVI, in grade ISO-VG 46, is a hydraulic oil with a high viscosity index of 152. Because the viscosity changes relatively little between cold and warm conditions, it suits outdoor machinery and installations that see large temperature differences over a day or a season.

The additive package targets wear, corrosion and rust, and keeps foaming and ageing in check. The oil also separates water well, so small amounts of moisture hardly affect how easily it filters.

Choosing the right oil

Choose this grade when the machine builder asks for an HVLP/HV oil of ISO VG 46, for instance on excavators, presses or mobile equipment working outside in changing weather. Check the viscosity grade and the approval list in the machine manual before topping up or switching, and do not mix with other hydraulic oils unless the maker allows it.
