Shell Panolin S5 Grease EAL V120P 2

A biodegradable ester-based grease for marine and industrial use

Shell's Panolin S5 EAL grease (V120P 2) is a fully synthetic, biodegradable grease with an ester base oil and a lithium hydroxystearate thickener. It carries extreme-pressure, anti-oxidation, anti-wear and anti-rust additives and is meant for places where leaks or spills must not harm the environment, such as vessels and industrial plant.

The product is certified with the EU Ecolabel (NL/027/019), complies with the US EPA 2013 Vessel General Permit and meets the USDA BioPreferred programme. The working range is -35 °C to +100 °C, tolerating peaks of +120 °C.

Choosing the right grease

Use it where an environmentally acceptable lubricant (EAL) is required by the vessel, port or site. Whenever a machine has its own OEM demands, ask the manufacturer first, and clean out old grease before changing over. Because this grease is lithium-based, keep it away from systems that were filled with incompatible thickeners.
