A barium-complex grease for heavily loaded rolling bearings

Klüber STABURAGS NBU 8 EP is a long-life grease for rolling bearings under high specific loads. It combines a mineral base oil with a barium-complex thickener and is water-resistant. It gives EP and wear protection and guards against corrosion and tribo-corrosion.

Klüber reports that it was tested to SKF R2F (run B, 140 °C) and reached around 4,000 hours in the SKF ROF test at 120 °C.

Choosing the right grease

Choose it where the bearing maker or machine manual asks for an NLGI 2 grease with strong EP properties and the operating temperature stays within the stated range. Do not mix with greases of a different thickener type without a compatibility check, and clean the bearing well when switching.
