Urea solution for SCR diesel engines

Eurol AdBlue 5L is an aqueous urea solution for diesel vehicles with selective catalytic reduction (SCR). The system sprays small doses into the exhaust, where the urea breaks down and converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water. A vehicle with SCR needs this fluid to stay inside the emission limits of the Euro standard it was built for (Euro 4 up to Euro 6).

The solution follows the ISO 22241 specification for SCR reductant. A 5 L container is a practical size for topping up a car or van between larger refills.

• Urea content roughly 31.8 to 33.2%
• Colourless liquid with a density of 1.09 kg/l at 20 °C and a pH of 10.0
• Freezes at about -11 °C and can be used normally again once it has thawed
• Spills can be rinsed away with plenty of water

Where it is used

• Diesel cars, vans and trucks with an SCR system (Euro 4 up to 6)
• Tractors and other agricultural machinery that must meet emission requirements

Handling and storage

Fill only the dedicated AdBlue filler, never the fuel tank, and keep the cap closed so the solution stays clean. Store the container within a range of -11 °C to +30 °C. Freezing in winter does not harm the quality, but avoid storing it in warm places for long periods.
