Eurol Syntence 5W-30

A fully synthetic low-SAPS 5W-30 for VW group and Mercedes engines

Eurol Syntence 5W-30 is a fully synthetic engine oil for petrol, diesel and LPG engines in cars and light vans. Its low-SAPS formulation suits vehicles with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) built to Euro 4, helping to keep the exhaust aftertreatment clean.

The oil is aimed mainly at the VW group (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda). Eurol states drain intervals of up to 50,000 km for diesels and 30,000 km for petrol engines. VW specifications it is suitable for (according to the manufacturer): 506.01, 506.00, 505.01, 505.00, 503.00, 502.00, 501.01 and 500.00. The oil also carries Mercedes-Benz specifications.

It builds a stable oil film quickly after a cold start and stays thermally stable at operating temperature, so the engine runs smoothly with low internal friction.

Choosing the right oil

Check the code in your handbook first: use this oil if it lists one of the VW or Mercedes-Benz specifications above. Engines that call for a different specification or viscosity grade should not be topped up with it.
