A 15W-40 CK-4/E9 diesel oil for heavy-duty trucks

Castrol Vecton 15W-40 (grade CK-4/E9) is a heavy-duty diesel engine oil for modern, high-output truck engines with exhaust aftertreatment such as EGR or a particulate filter. Castrol credits its System Pro Technology with up to 45% extra performance reserve, which supports longer drain intervals and steady protection in hot, heavily loaded running.

It is meant for high-speed four-stroke diesel engines running on fuel with up to 500 ppm sulphur.

Choosing the right oil

Pick this oil when the engine maker names CK-4 or ACEA E9 or one of the builder codes above. Always compare the exact code in the engine handbook with the list; an older engine that calls for a different category is better served by the oil the maker names. Larger fleets can often standardise on one grade for mixed engine brands, as long as every engine on the list is covered.
