WHY IS GOOD FORKLIFT MAINTENANCE SO IMPORTANT?
Forklift trucks are indispensable in warehouses, workshops and logistics centres. Downtime means loss of time and money. Good maintenance prevents expensive repairs, increases safety and extends the service life of the machine. The key word? Lubrication. Without the right lubricants, bearings, hydraulic systems and transmissions quickly become damaged.
At Oliehandel.nl, you will find all lubricants and oils from top brands such as Shell, Mobil, Castrol, Eurol, Kroon Oil and Petronas.

KEY MAINTENANCE POINTS FOR A FORKLIFT TRUCK
1. Engine oil
Engine oil is crucial for forklift trucks with a diesel or petrol engine. It must meet the manufacturer's specifications to prevent wear and tear and soot accumulation.
Recommended: Mobil Delvac engine oil or Eurol Multifleet for reliable performance.
2. Hydraulic oil
The lift mast and forks are fully hydraulically operated. Use the correct hydraulic oil to prevent leaks, wear and loss of power.
Recommended: Shell Tellus S2 or Kroon Oil Hydraulicoil.
3. Transmission oil & differential oil
The drive and transmission require oil with high pressure and wear resistance.
Recommended: Castrol Transmax or Mobil ATF.
4. Grease for bearings and mast guides
The mast, chains and bearings are subjected to heavy loads. Regular lubrication with high-quality grease prevents jamming and squeaking.
Recommended: Eurol Grease CSX-2 or Castrol LMX grease or Eurol PL LUBE.Â
5. Coolant and brake fluid
In addition to oil, it is also important to keep the coolant and brake fluid at the correct levels. This prevents overheating and ensures safety.
